Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) Malaysia has announced that its flagship project in Southeast Asia, LaLaport BBCC, will commence operations on January 20, 2022. Located in Bukit Bintang City Centre, Kuala Lumpur, this project is managed by MFBBCC Retail Mall Sdn. Bhd., a joint venture with UDA Holdings Berhad, Eco World Development Group Berhad, and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Board. LaLaport BBCC will feature approximately 400 stores, including many well-known Japanese brands making their debut in Malaysia.
With over 82,600 sqm of floor space, this mall is Mitsui Fudosan’s first LaLaport in Southeast Asia and its second overseas location after LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao. The BBCC project, which includes a shopping mall, residences, serviced apartments, office buildings, and hotels, aims to establish a landmark urban development that integrates a Japanese-inspired lifestyle. LaLaport BBCC will serve as a central hub for community interaction, enhancing local livelihoods and offering a unique shopping experience that blends Japanese design with Malaysian culture and trends.
